Practice Philosophy
Sea & Solace Psychiatry was built on a simple belief: people heal best when they feel genuinely seen. Too often, psychiatric care becomes a brief conversation followed by a prescription. Amy Disla, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, founded this practice to offer something different, care that is patient, private, and grounded in the understanding that mind and body are inseparable.
Her therapeutic approach blends evidence-based psychiatry with supportive therapy, mindfulness, and nervous-system regulation. Medication, when it's part of your plan, is prescribed conservatively and monitored closely, never handed off without the skills and support to use it well. Sessions are a collaboration: Amy brings clinical knowledge, you bring your story, and together you build a plan that fits your life.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or burnout, the goal is the same: to help you find calm, reclaim your strength, and feel more like yourself, at a pace that honors where you are right now.
Your first visit is a full hour, and follow-ups are never a rushed fifteen minutes. Healing needs time to be heard, and you'll always have it here.
Mind and body are treated together. Sleep, stress, movement, and relationships are part of the conversation, not footnotes to a prescription.
Medication is a tool, not an answer on its own. Amy starts low, goes slow, and watches closely so every change is purposeful and safe.
What you share stays between us. Telehealth visits are confidential, secure, and free of the waiting-room anxiety that keeps so many from starting.
You're the expert on your own life. Amy brings clinical knowledge; you bring your story. Plans are made together, in language you understand.
Busy professionals, caregivers, students, anyone who's felt rushed or dismissed by the system. Care that meets you where you are, on your schedule.
